San Diego, CA - DVEO, the new broadcast division of
CMI, will introduce the latest version of the DVB Master Quad/i
at NAB 2004. The Quad/i is a four port DVB ASI PCI 2.2 Interface
Card that features hardware-based Automatic Packet Size Detection,
PID filtering, and Packet Arrival Timestamping on each port.
The Quad/I combines the functionality of four DVEO Master
III PCI cards into one board. It can receive four separate
streams, from four separate sources with each port offering
selectable channels.
“The Quad/I allows cable and broadcast facilities to download
four feeds from four different sources and store the feeds
in compressed form on a local server. The Quad/I has an aggregate
data rate of 400 Mbits/sec, which can be divided as required
among the four ports. Depending on your requirements, multiple
boards can be added at any time,” stated Laszlo Zoltan, Product
Manager for CMI.
The Quad/I uses a highly efficient Bus Master Link List DMA
for data transforming date, saving CPU resources. It is primarily
target is video servers where port density is so crucial.
Applications for the Quad/I include:
- DVB VoD (Video on Demand) Servers
- Cable TV
- Broadcast TV
Suggested Retail Price: Quad/I PCI Card: $1,895.00
