April 7, 2003 - Las Vegas, Nevada Since 1982, CMI has been known for providing state-of-the-art products to the video/broadcast industry. Recently the Professional Broadcast Products Division of CMI has been designated DVEO. This division as well as its new logo is debuting at the NAB Show this week.

CMI's entry into the professional video and broadcast industry started with its DVB PCI cards. These cards, along with an expanded line of professional video and broadcast products were first introduced at the NAB show held in Las Vegas in 1999.

CMI's Professional Broadcast Division, DVEO, has evolved from being an OEM distributor of video components into a technology leader, as well as a price leader that delivers a diverse line of products, ranging from PCI cards and software to complete turnkey systems for both the professional video and broadcast markets.

CMI is also very involved with High Definition (HD) technology. They are one of a select number of companies that offer true 1080P-capable decoders. CMI has partnered with MikroM Gmbh of Germany to develop the MVH-100 and MVC-400 HD decoders. These decoders were designed specifically for the digital cinema and ultra-high end entertainment markets. "MikroM´s mission of the HD digital future is driven by the aspirations and needs of business partners like CMI. Our expertise and the close teamwork with partners like CMI, empowers MikroM to develop competitive products for worldwide markets," stated Holger Krahn, CEO of MikroM.

"Since 1982, CMI has focused on building long-term relationships with our business partners as well as our customers. This "in-it-for-the-long-run" attitude has positioned CMI's professional broadcast division, DVEO to continue offering superior products as well as superior value in the rapidly evolving professional video and broadcast Industry." stated Les Zoltan President of CMI."
