ATLAS SERVER is a software and hardware option that adds powerful server functionality via a large bank of dedicated memory for local caching. LIVE software uses caching algorithms which allow new users to pull content from memory rather than from the original stream. In this way replication happens efficiently. Our encoders without this option can support fewer users and fewer protocols. This option ships with software and sufficient Cache Memory to serve 1000+ users simultaneously. This add-on is similar in functionality to Wowza® and Adobe® servers.

When this option is present users' streams are pulled from Cache, not from the original stream. This alleviates the load on the original stream. This option ships with sufficient Cache Memory to serve large numbers of assets for 200+ users simultaneously.
